It was with great pleasure that we hosted Rupert Isaacson and his son Rohan in August 2009 on a ride during his visit to Australia. Rupert was thrilled that Rohan was able to ride for the first time on a horse with Rupert leading him from another. He previously was able to lead from the ground or Rohan would ride on a horse with Rupert. Rupert has written an international best seller and made a film nominated at the 2009 Sundance Festival about the remarkable journey of Rohan developing through horses. It was great fun hosting Andrew Gaze and the Cock Family as part of their 4WD adventure in the High Country. We enjoyed the winery ride with a great lunch at Kinloch Winery.

Follow the pioneers on a horse ride through Australia’s High Country and have the entire Man From Snowy River experience with fifth-generation Mansfield farmer Michael Watson. Thank you, Banjo Paterson.
This five-day, 60km horse ride traverses Victoria’s alpine region along bridle tracks that pass across dramatic ridge tops, then drop into deep tree fern gullies and wind through iconic locations bearing names like Whiskey Flat, Tobacco Flat and Tunnel Bend. During the daylight hours aboard your trusty steed, you’ll tackle river crossings and canter through quiet valleys. But at night weary heads will rest on feather-down pillows in classic country house hotels.

Brag Factor // Taking on 30 river crossings on horseback, then sitting down to a multi-course degustation dinner in a pioneer homestead.
