The Cattle Musterards.Enjoy the thrill of this traditional experience of mustering cattle. We will throw the responsibility of mustering cattle into some bush yards over to your team (with our supervision of course). This is a fantastic corporate challenge and develops skills such as; 1. Team work - an essential requirement of mustering cattle is the team working together, the consequences of individuals trying to dominate and rushing the task, such as, moving towards the cattle too fast is that they will find cattle will escape and the group needs to start again. 2. Leadership - a team member needs to delegate certain tasks to other team members and this provides an opportunity to empower employees for the day. 3. Communication - a whole new dialogue to master and a real test for communication skills in your group as people will need to communicate ideas that are all new to the group. 4. Contingency Planning - this activity will without doubt be full of surprises and is a real test for participants to make changes when one strategy doesn't work, a great lateral thinking exercise. A minimum of 10 participants is required..
The Navigation RideThis activity is a team problem solving task of answering questions that provide the clue for the next direction the group must travel (ie. The questions have choice of 2 answers and when your answer is incorrect you are directed the wrong way and have to turn around when you discover a “wrong way turn back” sign). The team that completes the course in the shortest time wins. Questions are written in conjunction with the conference organiser to be consistent with the conference objectives: 1. Team work - The team needs to use the knowledge of the whole group (using staff members from different departments). 2. Product knowledge - A great way to breakout from workshops with healthy exercise whilst reinforcing the knowledge gained from the same. 3. Timeout - A great social experience whereby most participants are inexperienced at horse riding and can learn an activity together. A minimum of 10 participants is required.
